Data Analyst Governance Analyst (AVP) London | Hybrid (2-3 Days Onsite) | Financial Services | Contract An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading international investment bank as an Data Governance Analyst (AVP) within its rapidly expanding EMEA Data Office . This is a greenfield opportunity to play a key role in establishing the bank's Analytics Governance capability, supporting a major multi-year regulatory transformation programme focused on BCBS239 compliance and future ECB onboarding . You'll work across the organisation to define governance standards, improve controls around analytics and reporting, and help shape how data is governed across the business. This is a highly visible position with exposure to senior stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Operations and Technology, offering the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide governance practices. The Role As part of the EMEA Data Office, you will: • Help establish and embed the bank's Analytics Governance framework. • Identify, catalogue and govern Key Data Uses (KDUs) and End User Computing (EUC) tools across the organisation. • Conduct governance assessments and gap analysis against internal policies and BCBS239 requirements. • Agree remediation plans with business owners and track delivery through to completion. • Maintain governance inventories and metadata using tools such as Collibra and/or Apparity. • Champion governance standards and promote best practice across business functions. • Deliver governance reporting, project updates and management information. • Work closely with stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Technology, Operations and the wider Data Office. • Support the ongoing development of enterprise data governance capabilities. About You We're looking for someone who has experience within Data Governance, Analytics Governance or EUC Governance in a financial services environment and enjoys working across both business and technology teams. You'll ideally have experience with: • Analytics Governance or Enterprise Data Governance. • BCBS239 or regulatory data governance programmes. • End User Computing (EUC) Governance. • Data cataloguing and metadata management. • Collibra and/or Apparity. • Governance frameworks, policies and controls. • Data Quality, Data Lineage or Enterprise Data Management. • Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence at all levels. • Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies. • SDLC knowledge relating to analytics and reporting. Desirable: • Power BI and/or Tableau. • Experience supporting enterprise self-service analytics. • Knowledge of ECB or wider banking regulatory requirements. Why Apply?
