Job description

Data Governance Analyst • Location: Kings Cross, London • Job Type: Full-time We are seeking a Data Governance Analyst to lead and embed data enablement activities, training, and tools to ensure data is easily accessible, usable, and understandable. This role is crucial for overseeing the data lifecycle and developing solutions to complex data governance, literacy, and enablement challenges. You will collaborate with various teams to enhance the value of our data, thereby supporting the achievement of our organizational goals. Day-to-Day of the Role: • Data Enablement and Training: Define training pathways for specific roles, create and deliver a comprehensive data enablement curriculum, and develop engaging educational content such as workshops, video tutorials, and interactive learning modules. • Programme Development: Design training frameworks aligned with data governance objectives, establish benchmarks for training effectiveness, and manage the data portal to increase engagement. • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product teams and data catalogue vendors to enhance data portal functionalities and onboard new functions. • Community Building: Cultivate an internal community of "Data Champions" across business units to foster peer-to-peer data learning and support. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Experience: At least 3 years in data analytics, instructional design, or a related field, with proven experience in embedding data governance and literacy into an organization. • Technical Skills: Familiarity with modern data stacks and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker), and experience with Data Catalogues like Alation, Collibra, or OvalEdge. • Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex data concepts in both technical and business terms. • Knowledge: Understanding of the DAMA Data Management Body of Knowledge, data lifecycle management, and GDPR implications.
