Main Duties of the Job • Provide leadership, support and guidance to Care Assistants during day shifts. • Deliver and oversee high-quality, person-centred care in accordance with residents' individual needs and preferences. • Promote dignity, independence, privacy and choice in all aspects of care delivery. • Support residents with daily living activities while encouraging wellbeing and quality of life. • Monitor residents' wellbeing and escalate concerns appropriately. • Assist with the implementation and review of care plans and risk assessments. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation. • Support effective communication between residents, families, colleagues and healthcare professionals. • Assist with shift coordination and ensure daily tasks are completed effectively. • Support the induction, mentoring and development of new team members. • Promote compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention and control, and company policies. • Participate in audits, quality monitoring activities and continuous improvement initiatives. • Contribute to maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-managed environment throughout the home. • Act as a positive role model, promoting professionalism, teamwork and high standards of care. • Uphold the values and reputation of Parklands Care Home and Sandstone Care Group at all times. • Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the effective operation of the home.
