Job Type: Ongoing Temporary (with the opportunity to become longer term) Salary:£13.50 per hourwith occasional overtime paid at1.5x Hours:39 hours per week, Days Monday - Thursday: 7.30am-4.45pm Friday: 7.30am-12.30pm We are recruiting for an ongoing TemporaryDeburrerto join a well-established and respected precision engineering manufacturer based inFerndown, Dorset. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy production team manufacturing high-quality precision engineered components for a range of demanding industries. The role is ongoing temporary, with thepotential to become permanentfor the right candidate based on performance and business requirements. If you have a keen eye for detail, enjoy hands-on work and take pride in producing components to the highest standards, we'd like to hear from you. The Role As a Deburrer, you will be responsible for ensuring precision machined components are finished to the required specification before progressing to the next stage of production. Your duties will include: • Deburring precision machined components using a variety of hand and power tools. • Removing sharp edges, burrs and surface imperfections to exact standards. • Working from engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions. • Carrying out visual inspections to ensure components meet quality requirements. • Handling a variety of metal components safely and efficiently. • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment. • Working closely with the machining and quality teams to ensure production deadlines are achieved. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who has: • Previous experience in a deburring, fettling or finishing role within an engineering or manufacturing environment. • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (advantageous). • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. • Good manual dexterity and experience using hand tools. • A positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. • A reliable and flexible approach to work.
