Demand Planner

Demand Planner Dewsbury, West Yorkshire | Hybrid Working Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a well-established manufacturing and e-commerce business to find a Demand Planner to join their growing Ecommerce function. This is a great opportunity for an analytical planning professional to take ownership of demand forecasting and inventory optimisation for a fast-moving, highly seasonal product range. Working closely with Commercial, Channel Management, Production Planning and Warehouse teams, you'll lead the demand planning process end to end — from forecast creation through to converting demand into supply requirements — while playing a key role in the monthly S&OP cycle. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain weekly and monthly demand forecasts, analysing sales history, promotions, market trends and customer forecasts • Monitor and improve forecast accuracy and bias, flagging demand risks and opportunities • Translate demand forecasts into purchasing requirements, managing safety stock, lead times and reorder points • Support new product launches, seasonal transitions and promotional events • Monitor stock health, inventory turns and stock cover, reducing excess and obsolete inventory • Support the weekly and monthly S&OP cycle, presenting planning assumptions, risks and recommendations • Partner with Channel Managers on retailer demand plans, using EPOS and sell-through data where available • Produce KPI reporting covering forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns, stock cover and fill rate What You'll Need Essential: • Experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning or Inventory Planning • Background within FMCG, retail or consumer goods • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Experience using D365 or a similar ERP system • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills This role suits someone who's commercially aware, comfortable with detail, and confident managing demand that shifts with retail promotions, weather and customer buying patterns.
