Job description

Provide chairside assistance to dental clinicians during a full range of treatments. Prepare and maintain the clinical environment, ensuring adherence to infection prevention and control policies. Decontaminate instruments and maintain equipment in line with national and Trust guidelines. Take and/or process dental radiographs in accordance with IRMER regulations. Provide support, reassurance, and care to patients, including those who are anxious, vulnerable, or have additional needs. Assist clinicians in the treatment of patients under inhalation, intravenous sedation, or general anaesthesia, including monitoring and recovery processes. Promote oral health and deliver basic oral hygiene advice where appropriate. Ensure patients are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion always. Support in the effective day-to-day delivery of dental clinic. Ensure clinical areas are appropriately stocked and organised. Work flexibly across multiple clinical sites. Participate in out-of-hours, evening, weekend, and bank holiday services as required.
