Deposit Recovery Progressor (Temp to Perm)Location: Southend-on-Sea (Office-based) Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm (1 hour unpaid lunch) Contract: Temp to Perm About the RoleWe are recruiting a Deposit Recovery Progressor to support the deposit recovery function within a busy relocation and property services environment. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, determined, and confident in negotiating with letting agents and landlords to achieve the best outcomes. You will manage deposit recovery cases from start to finish, ensuring all administration, negotiations, and escalations are handled efficiently and in line with internal procedures and industry regulations. Key Responsibilities • Liaise with letting agents, landlords, and relevant third parties to recover deposits paid on behalf of customers • Accurately input and maintain case data on internal systems to generate required documentation • Review deposit reports and support swift resolution of cases • Gather, check, and prepare all necessary evidence to meet deposit scheme and arbitration deadlines • Manage deposit cases from initiation through to final outcome, delivering excellent customer service throughout • Ensure all actions are completed in line with internal authorisation processes and industry requirements • Handle inbound telephone queries professionally, following company service standards • Support colleagues across the wider business as required Skills & Experience • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Confident negotiator with a determined, solution-focused approach • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail • Able to manage multiple cases and work to strict, time-critical deadlines • Strong customer service focus with the ability to build trust and rapport • Property or lettings experience preferred • Experience using UK tenancy deposit schemes desirable • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, including report usage • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently What's in It for You • Temp-to-perm opportunity within a stable and growing business • Exposure to high-profile clients and a fast-paced professional environment • Supportive team with opportunities to develop specialist property knowledge Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
