Key Responsibilities • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the service. • Lead and motivate staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. • Deputise for the Registered Manager during periods of absence. • Ensure compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards and organisational policies. • Supervise, mentor, and support staff through regular supervision and appraisal. • Assist with recruitment, induction, training, and retention of staff. • Develop and manage staffing rotas to ensure safe staffing levels. • Monitor incidents, safeguarding concerns, complaints, and quality assurance activities. • Carry out audits and contribute to continuous quality improvement. • Support medication management and ensure medicines are administered safely. • Promote positive risk management while encouraging residents' independence and recovery. • Build effective relationships with families, healthcare professionals, commissioners, and external agencies. • Participate in the management on-call rota.
