Deputy Safeguarding Lead • Annual Salary: £33,500.89 FTE • Location: Surrey • Job Type: Full-time, Fixed Term (until December 2026 with potential to extend) Join our Technical College, a leading further education provider, as a Deputy Safeguarding Lead. This role is crucial in supporting the safety, happiness, and academic success of our students at our Weybridge campus. If you are passionate about education and safeguarding the wellbeing of young people, we would love to hear from you. Day-to-day of the role: • Implement and monitor effective safeguarding policies and procedures. • Provide support and guidance to students experiencing difficulties, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). • Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students. • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. • Deliver training and awareness-raising sessions on safeguarding and wellbeing. • Develop and implement action plans to address identified risks. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Experience in a safeguarding or related role. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding legislation. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Passionate about supporting young people and promoting their wellbeing.
