Job description
To assist the sister / charge nurse to lead and manage the development of and the provision of a high quality nursing service and environment for the Haematology Oncology Day Unit Service. To provide specialist nursing knowledge, expertise and advice, facilitating the provision of evidence based patient centred care pathways and packages. Deputise and take charge of the given area regularly in the absence of the sister /charge nurse. To establish a balance between clinical and managerial demands so as to maintain clinical credibility. To maintain an established communication and professional working relationship between site and haematology and oncology at both Poole and The Royal Bournemouth Hospital. To actively seek to resolve arising concerns and complaints to support the patient experience and quality agenda and to support other members to do so.
