Deputy Team Manager - Adult Social Care Location: Blackpool Rate: £40 per hour Contract: 8 Weeks | 37 Hours per Week Blackpool Council is seeking an experienced Deputy Team Manager to join its Community Adult Social Care service during an exciting period of improvement and transformation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader to manage a multidisciplinary team, providing operational and professional leadership while ensuring high-quality, person-centred practice across Adult Social Care. Key Responsibilities: • Lead, manage and support a team of social workers and practitioners • Oversee complex casework, safeguarding enquiries and risk management • Ensure timely, high-quality Care Act assessments, reviews and care planning • Drive performance, quality assurance and continuous service improvement • Provide supervision, coaching and workforce development • Work collaboratively with health, housing, providers and voluntary sector partners • Contribute to service transformation and improvement initiatives Requirements: • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England (SWE) registration • Significant experience within Adult Social Care, including safeguarding • Previous experience managing staff and leading teams • Strong decision-making, leadership and risk management skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment • Committed to strengths-based, person-centred practice What's on offer: • £40 per hour • 8-week contract with a well-established Adult Social Care service • Opportunity to lead a dedicated team and contribute to service improvement If you're an experienced Adult Social Care leader looking for your next agency opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
