Job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dermatology Healthcare Assistant to support NHS Lothian's Dermatology Outpatient Service based at the Lauriston Building in Edinburgh. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred care within a busy outpatient environment. You will work closely with Dermatology Nurses, Senior Dermatology Leads and other healthcare professionals to ensure clinics run efficiently and patients receive a positive experience throughout their care journey. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting patients attending dermatology appointments, assisting clinical staff during consultations, preparing and maintaining clinical areas, and ensuring accurate patient documentation is completed. You will also help facilitate patient flow throughout clinic sessions while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality and patient care. This position is well suited to a Healthcare Assistant with previous outpatient or Dermatology clinical experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering high-quality care.
