Director of Finance | Part-Time 4 days a week Buckinghamshire | Competitive Salary + Hybrid Working Ready to lead more than just the numbers? We're recruiting on behalf of a prestigious independent school seeking an outstanding Director of Finance to join its Senior Leadership Team on a 4 days a week basis. You'll work closely with the Headteacher and Governors, driving financial performance and shaping long-term strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who wants strategic influence but also flexibility / part-time working. The Opportunity You'll lead all aspects of finance while overseeing commercial operations, governance, risk and business planning. Key responsibilities include: • Leading financial strategy and long-term planning • Managing budgets, forecasting and cashflow • Presenting financial insight to the Board • Delivering statutory accounts and audit • Supporting major capital and development projects • Leading and developing a high-performing finance team About You You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with proven finance leadership experience. You'll bring: • Strategic commercial thinking • Strong financial planning and analytical skills • Inspirational leadership • Excellent stakeholder management • The ability to balance big-picture thinking with operational delivery Experience within education is welcomed but not essential. We're equally keen to hear from candidates from commercial, private sector or not-for-profit organisations looking for a role with real purpose.
