Domestic Abuse Worker Temporary - ongoing To start ASAP Full time hours including a rota basis and weekends Rochdale £17 - £18 per hour Morgan Hunt is currently working with a Domestic Abuse Worker to work across dispersed refuge in Rochdale on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role, working on a rota basis which includes weekends. The role • As a Domestic Abuse Worker, this role will involve regular interaction with complex vulnerable clients in the community address support needs. • Triage, accept and action new referrals including move in / move on procedures. • Assess the needs of all clients using the appropriate paperwork and in conjunction with them devise a SMART plan to address identified need. • Ensure housing benefit is claimed efficiently and rent payments are received for the duration of the stay. • Assess the risk of all clients, completing risk management plans to address any risk identified. The candidate • An understanding of individuals and families who have or are experiencing domestic abuse. • Knowledge of working as part of a team, working on own initiative and managing time effectively. • Knowledge of devising needs assessment support plans and providing support in relation to these. • Experience of trauma informed working, recognising support required around mental health, substance misuse issues, sex work and exploitation. • Knowledge of the impact of multiple disadvantages, complex support needs and homelessness. As this role is to start as soon as possible, the successful candidate must have a DBS registered on the update service and have access to a car for work.
