Job description

Our growing client is expanding their operations and will be opening a new warehouse facility in Great Dunmow in September. As part of this exciting period of growth, they are seeking a reliable and capable Driver to join the team from September. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering products safely and efficiently to customers throughout London and the Southeast, ensuring every delivery reflects the high standards that customers expect from our client. This is more than simply driving a van. You will be one of the faces of the business, building positive relationships with customers and helping maintain our client’s reputation for outstanding service. The role is a full-time temp to perm position working 6am-4pm, Monday-Friday. This role is paying £14-£14.50 per hour. Key Responsibilities: • Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before departure. • Load your vehicle safely and accurately. • Deliver products to clients and commercial customers. • Unload goods safely and place deliveries where requested. • Obtain proof of delivery where required. • Keep your vehicle clean, tidy and roadworthy. • Report any vehicle defects or customer issues promptly. • Assist in the warehouse when required. • Follow all company health and safety procedures. • Maintain high standards of customer service and represent the company positively. Key Skills: Essential • Full UK driving licence. • Previous van driving experience. • Good knowledge of London and surrounding areas. • Friendly and professional manner. • Physically fit and comfortable lifting and moving products safely. • Reliable with excellent timekeeping. • Able to work independently and take responsibility for your route. • Good communication skills. Desirable: • Experience delivering to commercial customers. • Basic warehouse experience. • Forklift licence (training can be provided if required).
