Job description

Seeking a reliable and motivated Junior Driver's Mate to join their growing team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within a professional logistics environment. Working alongside experienced drivers and installation teams, you will gain valuable hands-on experience delivering, positioning and installing high-value equipment for customers across a variety of sectors. As a Junior Driver's Mate, you will support the delivery crew with a range of tasks, ensuring customer equipment is transported, handled and installed safely and professionally. Key responsibilities include: • Assisting with deliveries, installations and collections of customer equipment. • Loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring all items are checked, secure and ready for transit. • Supporting the delivery, positioning and installation of equipment at customer sites. • Carrying out manual handling duties, including lifting and moving equipment safely. • Completing delivery documentation, timesheets and job-related paperwork accurately. • Obtaining proof of delivery and collection where required. • Maintaining high standards of health, safety and customer service. • Supporting the wider team with additional duties as required by the business. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dependable and willing to learn. You will have: • A positive attitude and strong work ethic. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Flexibility regarding working hours and occasional early starts or late finishes. • The ability to complete paperwork accurately and efficiently. • A proactive, can-do approach to work. Previous experience within logistics, transport, removals, deliveries or installation work would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
