This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, working within either the Nursery or Reception class, supporting children during the crucial early stages of their learning and development. The Role As an Early Years Practitioner, you will work alongside the class teacher to deliver high-quality learning experiences that support every aspect of children's development. You will help create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to learn through exploration, play, and meaningful interactions. Working within either Nursery or Reception, you will support children's communication, language, literacy, numeracy, physical development, and personal, social, and emotional development while ensuring every child feels valued, supported, and ready to achieve their full potential. Responsibilities • Support teaching and learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). • Work within either Nursery or Reception classes. • Deliver engaging play-based learning activities alongside the class teacher. • Provide targeted support for individuals and small groups. • Encourage early reading, phonics, writing, communication, and mathematical development. • Support children's social, emotional, and behavioural development. • Help create a stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environment. • Observe children's progress and contribute to learning journeys and assessments. • Promote independence, curiosity, creativity, and confidence. • Ensure safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety procedures are always followed. About You To be considered for this Early Years Practitioner role, you will have: • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare, or • A degree in Early Childhood Studies, Early Years Education, or a related Early Years qualification. • Previous experience working within EYFS, Nursery, Reception, or an early years setting. • A sound understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development. • A genuine passion for supporting young children during their early learning journey. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach. • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
