• To assist the Clinical Engineering team to provide technical support in all aspects relating to the preventative maintenance, inspection, repair and calibration of a wide range of patient-critical medical equipment; in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with departmental procedures, Trust policies, statutory regulations and the MHRAs Managing Medical Devices April 2015 edition.
• Carryout planned preventative maintenance and performance checks to manufacturers specification including electrical safety testing.
• Effective fault finding and repairs of electrical and electronic medical equipment.
• Acceptance testing planned maintenance and corrective repairs of medical equipment in accordance with the MHRA and OEM documentation.
• Respond to emergency calls as a priority.
