Job description

An Ecommerce Demand Planner is needed to manage demand forecasting and stock planning for online sales in the manufacturing sector. This role plays a key part in ensuring the supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently, meeting customer demand effectively. Client Details This opportunity is with a well-established company in the manufacturing industry. Description • Develop and maintain accurate demand ecommerce forecasts using sales history, promotions, market trends and customer demand insights. • Convert demand forecasts into purchasing and replenishment plans to ensure optimal stock availability while controlling inventory investment. • Manage inventory performance, including stock health, stock cover, inventory turns, and reduction of excess and obsolete stock. • Support new product launches, seasonal peaks and promotional activities through effective demand and supply planning. • Contribute to weekly and monthly S&OP processes by preparing reporting, highlighting risks, and presenting recommendations to stakeholders. • Collaborate with internal teams to align forecasts with retailer demand plans and business priorities. • Produce and analyse key planning KPIs while driving continuous process improvements. Profile A successful Ecommerce Demand Planner should have: • Experience in demand planning or inventory planning, ideally within ecommerce or supply chain roles. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Ability to interpret sales data and forecast demand effectively. • Proficiency in Excel and relevant software, and tools for demand planning. • Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional teams. • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
