Electrical Design & Controls Engineer Location: Oxfordshire) Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent Industry: Automation The Role We are seeking a proactive Electrical Design & Controls Engineer to join a high-growth leader in automation. In this role, you will design control panels, create electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical, and support the full lifecycle of advanced automation systems-from concept and PLC programming to on-site commissioning. Key Responsibilities • Electrical Design: Create control system schematics, panel layouts, and wiring plans in AutoCAD Electrical to EU standards. • Controls & Programming: Specify control components and program PLCs for industrial automation machinery. • Build & Test Support: Assist with panel assembly, machine wiring, and electrical testing during the build phase. • Commissioning: Integrate and commission new systems at client sites across the UK and overseas. What We're Looking For Essential: • 3+ years of industry experience in electrical design for industrial automation or control systems. • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AutoCAD Electrical (or equivalent eCAD software). • Solid understanding of machinery safety standards and industrial communication protocols • Logical problem-solving skills and strong team communication. Desirable: • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field. • Experience with PLC programming or robotics integration. • Clean UK driving licence.
