Electrical Design Engineer Permanent £45,000 - £55,000 Portsmouth We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the delivery of new electrical systemsfrom concept through to production. This role offers a blend of design, validation, and hands-on testing within a collaborative engineering environment. Responsibilities • Support the design and development of electrical systems from concept through to final manufacture • Undertake design validation through calculations and analysis to demonstrate compliance with requirements • Liaise with test facilities, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to support project delivery • Carry out hands-on testing, prototyping, and verification within an on-site test facility • Produce and control engineering documentation including drawings, test documents, and bills of materials Essential Skills and Experience • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience • Strong understanding of electrical systems design, build, test, and commissioning • Experience producing design and technical specifications • Maritime or related industry experience (advantageous – not essential) Benefits • Private healthcare • Life assurance • Professional development • Pension contribution
