Electrical Engineer
£42,000 - £44,000 per annum
Locations: Ashford, Canterbury or Margate (Static Sites)
Venn Group is working in partnership with a large healthcare organisation in Kent to recruit experienced Electrical Engineers to join their Estates and Facilities team.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining critical infrastructure across a busy operational environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring electrical systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational, supporting the delivery of essential services across the site.
Key Responsibilities
• Undertake planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a wide range of electrical systems and plant
• Diagnose and resolve faults on LV distribution systems, emergency lighting, BMS controls and associated electrical infrastructure
• Support statutory compliance programmes and ensure all maintenance activities meet relevant regulations and safety standards
• Assist with electrical installations, upgrades and minor refurbishment projects
• Work closely with Estates Managers and engineering colleagues to deliver a high-quality maintenance service
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with health and safety legislation, policies and best practice
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete documentation in line with departmental procedures
About You
• City & Guilds in Electrical Installation, BTEC in an Electrical discipline, or equivalent qualification
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
• City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification
• Experience working within a large, complex maintenance environment such as healthcare, education, commercial facilities, manufacturing or public sector estates
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of electrical compliance requirements and industry best practice
