Electrical Engineer

Electrical Support Engineer Location: South London / Greater London (with UK and occasional international travel) Salary: Competitive + Benefits Type: Full-Time, Permanent A leading engineering organisation is seeking an Electrical Support Engineer to provide technical expertise across the lifecycle of complex electrical and electro-mechanical systems. This is a varied role offering a mix of engineering support, fault diagnosis, technical investigations, product improvement, and project delivery within a highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities • Support electrical engineering activities across a range of projects and products. • Conduct fault-finding, root cause analysis, and technical investigations. • Produce and maintain technical documentation, engineering records, BOMs, and work instructions. • Support design, component selection, reverse engineering, testing, validation, and verification activities. • Investigate customer complaints, warranty claims, and non-conformances, providing effective corrective actions. • Conduct condition assessments, failure analysis, and technical reporting. • Work closely with production, quality, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement. • Provide technical support on UK and international customer projects. About You • HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Avionics, or a related engineering discipline. • Experience in electrical engineering, technical support, design, maintenance, or product engineering roles. • Strong understanding of electrical systems, testing, diagnostics, and fault finding. • Experience conducting root cause investigations and producing technical reports. • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation. • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Desirable • Experience with CAD and ERP systems. • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems. • Experience in rail, transportation, defence, marine, manufacturing, or other regulated engineering sectors.
