Job description

Electrical Assessor / Training Officer Salary: ~£40,000 starting (Up to ~£42,500 after Year 1 based on performance) Hours: Mon-Thu 8:00 AM - 3:30/4:30 PM | Fri 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Flexi-time available; Friday afternoons for admin) Start Date: 14 September Overview I am currently recruiting for an Electrical Assessor / Training Officer on behalf of a leading private training provider. This role involves visiting apprentices at their employer sites once a month. In this role, you will conduct monthly on-site visits to assess apprentices against national standards and deliver high-level, theory-backed technical support when learners hit roadblocks on site. You will also partner directly with employers to ensure training aligns with real industry demands while keeping accurate portfolio and assessment records. What We Are Looking For Background: Deep practical competence and hands-on experience in the electrical trade are essential. Qualifications: An assessor award or teaching qualification is preferred, but not required. If you are coming straight from industry, my client will fully fund and support your qualifications. BTEC / HNC Electrical Theory Tutor Salary: £40,000 starting (Up to £42,500 after Year 1 based on performance) Hours: Mon-Thu 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | Fri 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Flexi-time available; Friday afternoons for admin) Start Date: 14 September Overview On behalf of a reputable private training provider, I am seeking a BTEC / HNC Electrical Theory Tutor for classroom delivery. This is a 100% theory-based role focusing on higher-level electrical concepts for advanced apprentices. A core focus of this role will be expanding delivery in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), making it ideal for an engineer with strong control systems knowledge. Key Responsibilities You will deliver classroom-based theory lessons for high-level BTEC and HNC Electrical modules while teaching foundational and intermediate PLC content. Additionally, you will grade assignments, mark coursework, and provide constructive feedback to help learners succeed. What We Are Looking For Background: A strong understanding of electrical theory is required, ideally alongside practical or theoretical PLC knowledge. Qualifications: Teaching qualifications are desirable, but if you are looking to make your first move out of industry into education, my client will sponsor and fund your training. Practical Electrical Tutor (Workshop & Level 2 Intro) Salary: £40,000 starting (Flexibility above £40k based on experience; up to £42,500 after Year 1) Hours: Mon-Thu 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Fri 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Flexi-time available; Friday afternoons for admin) Start Date: 14 September Overview I am recruiting a Practical Electrical Tutor for a private training provider to mentor entry-level and Level 2 apprentices. If you are looking to step back from full-time site work and pass your trade skills onto the next generation, this is a fantastic opportunity. The split is roughly 80% hands-on workshop training (tools, wiring, safety) and 20% theory support (weekly write-ups). Key Responsibilities You will instruct and supervise learners in core practical electrical skills, wiring, hand tools, and safety. You will also guide apprentices through their weekly write-ups and foundational theory, all while maintaining a safe, structured, and professional workshop environment. What We Are Looking For Background: Solid trade experience in the electrical industry with a genuine desire to teach and mentor. Qualifications: Teaching qualifications are preferred but not mandatory-full training and qualifications will be funded by the business.
