After significant investment in 2025 they are keen to employ 2 Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join their team.
Position Overview:
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer working a 4on4off shift you will be a crucial part of our client's operations. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of equipment, ensuring the smooth running of production processes, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the facility. This is what you'll be doing.
• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime
• Diagnose and rectify complex electrical faults across manufacturing and process equipment, including AC and DC drives, motors, control panels and associated systems
• Fault find on PLC-controlled machinery, with a particular focus on Siemens platforms, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and effectively
• Modify, troubleshoot and improve PLC programmes to support production performance, reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead and support electrical engineering projects, from design and installation through to commissioning and handover
• Identify opportunities to improve machine performance, equipment reliability and operational efficiency through control system enhancements
• Support the installation, testing and commissioning of new machinery, automation systems and plant upgrades
• Work closely with production, maintenance and engineering teams to deliver technical solutions and minimise operational disruption
• Ensure all engineering activities are completed in line with health, safety and environmental standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and provide technical documentation relating to modifications, upgrades and project work
The experience you'll bring to the team.
• Electrically trained with a minimum HND qualification in an Electrical Engineering discipline
• Proven experience within a manufacturing or heavy industrial maintenance environment
• A high level of expertise in fault finding, diagnostics and repair of both AC and DC drive systems
• Strong PLC knowledge, particularly with Siemens systems, including fault finding, programme interrogation and modifications
• Demonstrable project engineering experience, with the ability to deliver electrical improvement projects from concept through to completion
• Proficient in carrying out PLC modifications and implementing control system improvements
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to improving equipment reliability and performance
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider engineering team
