Job description

Job Title: Electronics Engineer Location: Highlands, Scotland Salary: Up to £70k (depending on experience) This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join a well-established and innovative engineering organisation. This position offers the chance to work within a collaborative technical team developing advanced electronic solutions for highly regulated and demanding applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and verification of sophisticated electronic systems. Working across the full product lifecycle, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality engineering solutions. About the Role • Design and develop a range of electronic systems including analogue, digital, and power-based circuitry • Create schematic drawings and PCB designs using recognised electronic CAD software • Carry out simulation, analysis, and verification of electronic designs • Assist with prototype assembly, fault finding, testing, and debugging • Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation including specifications, reports, and test plans • Ensure designs meet relevant industry and regulatory standards • Work closely with software, mechanical, and production teams to ensure seamless system integration • Participate in design reviews, risk analysis, and continuous improvement activities About You • 5+ years’ experience in an electronics engineering role • Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or similar relevant discipline • Hands-on experience in electronic circuit design across analogue / digital electronics • Strong knowledge of component selection, circuit theory, and full system integration • Experience using schematic capture and PCB layout packages such as Altium, OrCAD, or KiCad • Competent using electronic test and diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes and signal generators • Understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller design principles • Proven fault-finding and debugging capability on complex electronic assemblies Please note, we cannot offer sponsorship for this position.
