Job description

Employee Relations Officer £30k Sidcup – Hybrid Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for employee relations and delivering an exceptional colleague experience? We're looking for a proactive and knowledgeable People Experience Officer to join our People team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting managers and colleagues, providing expert HR advice and helping to create a positive, inclusive workplace culture. As a People Experience Officer, you'll provide professional Employee Relations support across the organisation, ensuring people matters are managed fairly, consistently and in line with employment legislation. You'll work closely with managers to resolve complex employee relations cases while promoting a positive employee experience and supporting organisational initiatives. What you'll be doing • Provide expert Employee Relations advice to managers and colleagues. • Manage a varied caseload including disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance matters. • Support managers with short and long-term sickness absence cases. • Act as HR Advisor during conduct and capability hearings. • Support organisational change activities, including consultations, restructures, redundancies and TUPE transfers. • Prepare HR documentation and case correspondence. • Support the delivery of learning and development initiatives. • Contribute to People projects and continuous improvement activities. What we're looking for • Experience in an HR Advisory or Employee Relations role. • A strong working knowledge of UK Employment Law. • Experience managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • The ability to influence and coach managers confidently. • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Experience using HR Information Systems and Microsoft 365. • A relevant HR qualification (or working towards one), or equivalent practical experience.
