A leading regional law firm, recognised by both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, is seeking an experienced Employment Partner to lead and grow its Employment Law practice in Telford and across Shropshire.

About the Employment Team
The award-winning Employment team advises both employers and employees on a comprehensive range of employment law matters across multiple sectors. Operating across several offices throughout the West Midlands, the team has ambitious growth plans and is committed to delivering commercially focused, practical legal advice.
Based in Telford, the successful candidate will lead the firm's Employment Law offering across Shropshire, strengthening its regional presence while working closely with colleagues across the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
The Employment Partner will:
• Lead and develop the Employment Law practice in Telford and the wider Shropshire market
• Manage a broad caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters for both employers and employees
• Advise on Employment Tribunal claims, TUPE, redundancies, settlement agreements, disciplinary and grievance matters, restrictive covenants, confidentiality issues, employment contracts and staff handbooks
• Prepare legal research, submissions, negotiations and strategic advice for complex employment disputes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referrers and professional contacts
• Drive business development initiatives, networking opportunities and cross-referral activity
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers and support staff
• Contribute to departmental strategy, financial performance and the firm's long-term growth
About the Candidate
The successful applicant will have:
• Qualified Solicitor status in England & Wales with at least 6 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in Employment Law
• Extensive experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
• A strong reputation within the legal market and excellent technical expertise
• Proven business development and client relationship management skills, with an established network or a credible plan for developing one
• Commercial awareness and the ability to provide strategic advice to senior-level clients
• Strong leadership, mentoring and people management skills
• Excellent communication, networking and relationship-building abilities
• A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering exceptional client service
