We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Endoscopy Decontamination (Decon) Technician to support a busy endoscopy service. This vital role ensures all endoscopic equipment is cleaned, disinfected, and maintained to the highest standards, supporting safe and effective patient care. Key Responsibilities • Receive and handle used endoscopes following procedures • Carry out manual cleaning and high-level disinfection processes • Operate automated endoscope reprocessors (AERs) • Inspect equipment for cleanliness, damage, and functionality • Track and log equipment usage to ensure full traceability • Maintain strict infection prevention and control standards • Safely store and prepare scopes for reuse • Perform routine checks and report faults with decontamination equipment • Ensure compliance with all hygiene, safety, and regulatory guidelines Requirements • Previous experience in endoscopy decontamination or sterile services (essential/preferred) • Strong knowledge of infection control and decontamination procedures • High attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols • Good organisational and teamwork skills • Commitment to maintaining patient safety and quality standards What We Offer • Competitive rates of pay • Opportunity to work within a professional healthcare setting • Supportive team environment • Ongoing work within a growing service Join a critical part of the clinical team, helping to ensure safe, efficient procedures and high standards of patient care.
