Engineering Assessors (Mechanical & Electrical) – Greater Manchester Salary: From £32 p/h Location: Greater Manchester Contract: Temporary, full-time Reed Further Education are working with a forward-thinking training provider in Greater Manchester is looking for enthusiastic Engineering Assessors to support learners in achieving industry-recognised qualifications. About the Role • Deliver high-quality assessment, coaching, and support to learners on Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering pathways. • Conduct regular learner reviews, provide developmental feedback, and ensure timely progress.. • Prepare learners for EPA (End Point Assessment) and support their readiness for final assessment. Responsibilities • Plan and deliver structured assessment visits in workplace settings. • Observe, assess, and document learner skills, knowledge, and behaviours. • Use a variety of assessment methods, including practical observation, professional discussion, and portfolio building. • Monitor learner progression and maintain up-to-date records. • Participate in standardisation meetings and CPD sessions to maintain quality standards. Requirements: • Strong industry background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Multi-Skilled Engineering. • Relevant Level 3 or above technical qualification. • Experience mentoring, supervising, or training others within an engineering environment. • Excellent communication and organisational skills. All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
