Engineering Manager - Burscough People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager to join our well-established client based in Burscough on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity offering an excellent salary, outstanding benefits and the chance to play a pivotal role in key projects across the business. This role would suit candidates who have previously worked as a Maintenance Manager, Engineering Team Leader or Head of Engineering. Shifts: • Monday to Friday • Thirty-nine hours per week • Flexible working hours between 08:00 and 16:30 Pay Rate: • Up to £60,000 - £65,000 per annum DOE Benefits: Your benefits as an Engineering Manager will be: • Discretionary annual bonus of up to 15% of basic salary • Automatic enrolment into the Group Personal Pension Scheme • Twenty-four days holiday plus Bank Holidays • Life Assurance Scheme (four times annual salary) • Comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme including 24/7 GP access, unlimited mental health support and legal consultations • Access to leisure benefits, including a Cycle to Work Scheme • Permanent opportunity with long-term career development Day-to-Day Duties: Your duties as an Engineering Manager will be: • Leading and managing the Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering functions to support business objectives, customer requirements and operational performance • Developing and implementing engineering, maintenance and asset management strategies to improve equipment reliability, productivity, quality and cost performance • Ensuring effective preventative and predictive maintenance programmes are established, maintained and continuously improved • Managing engineering and maintenance resources, budgets and priorities to maximise operational effectiveness and support business growth • Leading Manufacturing Engineering projects focused on process improvement, automation, capacity enhancement, waste reduction and operational efficiency • Ensuring all plant, machinery, facilities and infrastructure remain compliant with legislative, safety and company requirements • Managing spare parts inventory and maintenance systems to minimise downtime and maintain operational continuity • Supporting the introduction of new equipment, products and manufacturing processes, ensuring robust handover, documentation, training and operational readiness • Leading root cause investigations relating to equipment failures, customer complaints, quality issues and non-conformances, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented Essential Skills: The skills required to be an Engineering Manager will be: • Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical discipline • Professional engineering qualification and/or membership of a recognised engineering institution is desirable • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to develop high-performing teams • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organisation • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial equipment and maintenance systems Desirable Experience: • Available to start imminently What Training Is Provided?: • Industry-related training provided • Ongoing support throughout your employment Apply: If you are interested in this opportunity as an Engineering Manager, apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
