Project Manager – Engineering Capital Projects Contract: Fixed Term, ending 31st December 2027 Based in Skelmersdale, with travel across all UK MMI sites as required. What You’ll Do: • Be a Partner: Work closely with Site Directors, becoming a strategic partner in driving capital investments that align with long-term site goals and innovations. • Deliver Exciting Projects: Lead engineering capital projects focused on key agendas in our world-class factories, including: • Capacity & Growth • Automation & Productivity • Net Zero: Energy reduction and decarbonization • Site Resilience: Asset replacement and obsolescence management • Facilities & Infrastructure • Shape the Future: With a well-funded 5-year plan, the work you’ll lead is varied and exciting, providing the opportunity to drive transformative change in a dynamic environment. • Own the Process: Lead the entire capital project pipeline—from initial concept to project completion—while ensuring the highest standards of governance, compliance, and efficiency. • Health, Safety & GMP: Ensure all projects are delivered with a strong focus on health and safety, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain the highest standards of quality across our sites. • Flexible Leadership: While your focus will be on specific sites, your expertise will also support our multi-site network, making you a key player across our business. • Drive Change: Embrace the fast-paced, ever-evolving nature of the FMCG industry and lead projects that not only improve operations but also inspire continuous improvement and innovation. What We’re Looking For: • A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical preferred), or relevant qualifications and experience in project management. • Experience in project management within a regulated manufacturing environment, ideally in FMCG or food and beverage. Candidates from other fast-paced or regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, paper, process, or chemical will also be considered. • Strong leadership, governance, and process management skills, with the ability to manage complex capital projects. • Passion for working in dynamic, fast-paced environments and leading cross-functional teams. • A strategic thinker who is as comfortable with high-level planning as they are with day-to-day execution. • Commitment to health, safety, and quality, with experience implementing GMP standards. • Communication Skills: The Project Manager needs to be confident and a clear communicator to manage a diverse stakeholder environment when delivering a portfolio of capital projects.
