English Lecturer - Foundation Learning

Salary: Upto £46000
We are seeking an English Lecturer to join our Foundation Learning team within the Maths & English Department. This role involves delivering inclusive, responsive, and innovative teaching and learning on a range of English programmes, including GCSE and Functional Skills. The ideal candidate will strive to produce outstanding teaching and learning at all times to ensure all learners succeed in their chosen programmes.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver Schemes of Work and assessment plans across various programmes, ensuring full commitment to embedding Equality and Diversity in every lesson.
Deliver exciting and innovative learning experiences and undertake assessments using a broad range of methods.
Guide and tutor learners through their learning process, including action planning and reviews, ensuring positive progression outcomes.
Be fully accountable for the learner’s success, utilising data to evaluate the quality of provision and ensuring compliance with all quality mechanisms and key performance indicators.
Participate actively as a member of the course team, contributing to curriculum and staff development activities.
Undertake administrative duties and participate in learner recruitment and marketing activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent vocationally relevant qualification.
Relevant subject qualification to level 3.
Teaching qualification DTLLS or equivalent.
GCSE grade A*-C in English and Maths or equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience up to and including Level 3.
Broad range of ICT/ILT skills to deliver outstanding teaching.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
