Prospero Teaching is working with a secondary school in IG6 that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join their team from September 2026. Contract Details Location: IG6 Position: Teacher of English Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Permanent Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm (may vary depending on the school's needs) Pay: Pay to Scale Schedule: Full-time Experience, Training and Qualifications Required Experience teaching English within a secondary school environment Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Strong classroom and behaviour management skills Excellent subject knowledge and curriculum understanding Ability to teach English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable) Reliable, punctual and committed to student progress To Be Eligible for This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must: Have the Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years Other Information If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up-to-date CV.
