The RoleAs an SEN English Teacher, you will: • Deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons to KS3 and KS4 students • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs and abilities • Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and additional learning difficulties • Create a structured, nurturing, and positive classroom environment • Differentiate learning to ensure every student can access the curriculum and make progress • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral teams • Contribute towards EHCP targets and individual student outcomes • Celebrate progress in all forms, building confidence, resilience, and independence The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who: • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification • Has strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature • Can adapt lessons to support a wide range of learning profiles • Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills • Has a patient, consistent, and nurturing approach • Is creative, flexible, and committed to inclusive education • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one Previous SEN experience is welcomed but not essential.
