Enhanced Care Support Worker

The role of Enhanced Care Support Worker is to support the multidisciplinary teams on the wards, providing 24 hour care on a 1-1 basis for people with cognitive impairment, who may be physically or mentally unwell, who may be distressed and /or at risk of harm to themselves or others. Each patients needs will be considered on an individual basis. Training will be provided in specialised skills including; social engagement; ; and de-escalation techniques to enable these patients to experience individualised person centred dementia care. Shift patterns are over a 24 hour period with Nights, Long days, Earlies and Lates; these posts require some weekend and bank holiday working as part of the ward rotas. You will be ward based and there will be times when you will be asked to move areas to support as needed by ward staff and on-call matrons.
