Employee Relations Casework Advisor Location: Stratford, London (Hybrid Working) Office Base: East London (2–3 days per week in the office) Pay Rate: £28.42 per hour PAYE / £37.00 per hour Umbrella Start Date: 03 August 2026 Contract Duration: Until 03 February 2027 DBS Requirement: Basic DBS Check About the Role We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Casework Advisor to provide expert guidance and support on a wide range of employee relations matters within a large and complex public sector organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HR professional with strong case management experience to work closely with managers, ensuring people-related decisions are fair, legally compliant, and aligned with organisational policies and objectives. Key Responsibilities • Provide high-quality advice and guidance to managers on a range of employee relations matters. • Manage and support cases relating to: • Disciplinary matters • Grievances • Capability and performance issues • Attendance and sickness management • Probation reviews • Interpret and apply HR policies consistently and effectively. • Advise managers on family leave policies and options, including maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental leave, and other statutory entitlements. • Ensure casework is handled in line with employment legislation, organisational policies, and best practice. • Maintain accurate records and provide timely updates on case progress. • Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: • Proven experience in an Employee Relations, HR Advisor, or Casework Advisor role. • Strong practical experience managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish. • Sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practice. • Experience advising on disciplinary, grievance, capability, sickness absence, and probation matters. • Ability to interpret HR policies and provide clear, practical advice to managers. • Knowledge of family-friendly policies and leave provisions. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage a busy and varied caseload. • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Additional Information • Hybrid working arrangement with 2–3 days per week in the office and the remainder working remotely. • Candidates must be willing to undergo and pass a Basic DBS Check. • Immediate availability or ability to start on 03 August 2026 is highly desirable.
