Job description

Job Title: Estate OperativeSalary: £26,000 per annum Location: Shoreditch, London Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm About the RoleWe are seeking a reliable and proactive Estate Operative to help maintain a high standard across a residential development in Shoreditch. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the estate remains clean, safe, and well-presented at all times, while delivering excellent customer service to residents and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the site. This is a hands-on role involving estate upkeep, waste management, cleaning duties, and general site support. Key Responsibilities • Ensure all bin stores are kept clean and tidy on a daily basis • Disinfect bin stores weekly, including jet washing four times per year • Move bins for scheduled collections and return them after collection • Break down and dispose of bulk waste where appropriate • Sweep and maintain cycle stores on a weekly basis • Sweep and clear car parks weekly • Keep courtyards and communal areas clean and presentable • Carry out litter picking across the estate • Empty litter bins regularly • Sweep leaves and debris from all external areas • Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the estate Skills & Experience • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated • Good attention to detail • Proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively Benefits • 20 days annual leave + bank holidays • Pension scheme • Long service awards • Sponsorship towards completing industry recognised qualifications ie: IOSH / NEBOSH • Discounted gym membership
