Job description

Our client is seeking a skilled Estimator Candidates should be located within a reasonable travelling distance of our group’s sites. This distinguished group of body shops has been repairing accident-damaged vehicles since 2000. With ongoing investment in the latest technology and training, and recognised as an employer of choice in the region, they consistently deliver exceptional repair quality and customer service. Your Responsibilities • Produce accurate estimates for both insurer and private customers • Maximise customer awareness of all Body Shop and Retailer services • Maintain the highest standards of customer care and satisfaction at all times • Ensure excellent departmental administration standards • Support the company in achieving industry-leading process efficiency Key Objectives • Prepare detailed estimates in accordance with company and insurance procedures, utilising the provided systems • Assess the most cost-effective and profitable repair methods • Apply Thatcham escribe and manufacturer repair methodology to determine appropriate repair techniques • Distribute repair methodology with job cards to production staff in line with PAS125 standards • Review estimates following vehicle strip-down to ensure accuracy and profitability • Obtain written authority and update management systems accordingly, ensuring readiness for invoicing upon repair completion • Ensure written authority and agreed costs are secured for private customer work Additional Duties • Initiate job documentation, maintain customer records, and manage follow-up systems • Maintain effective communication with parts, workshop, and reception teams • Follow correct procedures when issuing courtesy vehicles, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and copies of customers’ driving licences are obtained where applicable • Accurately maintain departmental systems • Comply with all health and safety, environmental, and company policies • Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as requested by the Bodyshop Manager Competitive salary of up to £50,000 plus excellent benefits
