This Event Build & Overlay Manager position is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing business at the forefront of major international sporting events, playing a key role in the delivery of one of the biggest tournaments in the world. The Role This Event Build & Overlay Manager position will be leading the temporary hospitality infrastructure delivery for a major UK based sporting event. The role is broad across hospitality villages, temporary structures and venue overlay with accountability for managing projects from procurement and permitting through to build, handover and demobilisation. Responsibilities of the Event Build & Overlay Manager include: Lead the design and delivery of temporary infrastructure for hospitality operations Manage infrastructure projects from design finalisation through to build and handover Coordinate key stakeholders such as architects, engineers, venues and contractors Oversee requirements for utilities including power, water, and drainage . Review technical drawings and specifications Manage infrastructure schedules and project documentation throughout Support procurement, tender processes and supplier engagement Manage permitting and regulatory approvals for temporary infrastructure Conduct site inspections and monitor build progress Hold overall responsibility for quality control and safety compliance Track project issues and coordinate timely resolution to maintain delivery milestone Ensure all infrastructure is delivered safely, on time and within budget The Candidate For this Event Build & Overlay Manager role we are seeking candidates who have proven experience in leading the installation of temporary builds, overlay and infrastructure from within an event setting. Experience with mass participation, large scale sporting, greenfield or festival style events would be a strong preference however candidates with more corporate experience may also be considered if they have the required scale of experience. A knowledge of the full planning process from design and procurement through to build, installation and de-rig is required.
