Job description

Event Coordinator • Annual Salary: £27,000 - £28,000 • Location: Wimbledon, London (Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote) • Starting MID JULY We are seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to join our client's dynamic team. This role involves delivering high-quality events, managing relationships with venues and contractors, and ensuring all aspects of event planning are executed flawlessly. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organised, and possess strong negotiation skills. Day-to-day of the role: • Deliver events according to an agreed project schedule, meeting all deadlines. • Liaise with venues and maintain strong relationships with contractors and suppliers. • Design and update floor plans, reconciling them with sales activity and technical layouts. • Manage budgets efficiently and contain costs. • Organise all aspects of allocated events, including showguides, customer liaison, contractor ordering, and staffing. • Assist with publishing and marketing tasks as necessary. • Update online information manuals for exhibitors using the Ffair platform. • Manage outsourced services such as onsite temporary staff, security guards, and traffic marshals. • Keep CRM systems up-to-date and ensure accurate data management. • Conduct regular meetings with the show team to ensure alignment and address any issues. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Degree educated is preferable, though not essential with relevant event delivery experience. • Highly organised with a proactive approach to problem-solving. • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage contractors onsite. • Exceptional administrative skills with meticulous attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service. • Capable of prioritising and multitasking across multiple event portfolios. • Previous experience in event management is essential. • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, Googlesheets, and Ffair (training provided if necessary). • In-Design knowledge is a plus.
