Job description

Events Coordinator A friendly Events Sales team based at a Hotel & Country Club is seeking an Events Coordinator to join them on a full-time basis. This role involves managing sales enquiries for weddings, social events, and conferences, with a focus on converting enquiries into confirmed bookings. The successful candidate will play a key role in building strong customer relationships, preparing event proposals, and overseeing events from initial enquiry through to successful delivery. Day-to-day duties of the role: • Proactively deal with all sales enquiries, focusing on weddings, social functions, and conferences. • Meet and build relationships with customers, ensuring a seamless experience. • Produce detailed event proposals, contracts, and invoices as required. • Take ownership of events, overseeing them from planning through to execution. • Collaborate with various departments to ensure continuity of service. • Participate in hosting Wedding Fairs, hotel showcases, and client showrounds, which may occur outside normal working hours. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Experience in an events role, ideally within a luxury venue. • Excellent communication and sales skills, with a knack for closing and upselling. • Strong administration and IT skills, including proficiency in database/booking packages. • Detail-oriented with a professional manner and a good understanding of confidentiality issues. • Ability to use initiative and remain calm under pressure. • Experience with Opera Sales & Catering is a bonus. • Must be happy and confident working independently.
