Job description

Greys Specialist Recruitment are supporting a leading corporate learning, events and development venue in Warwickshire with the recruitment of an Events Sales Executive. The organisation works with corporate clients to deliver residential programmes, meetings, conferences, leadership development events and wider learning experiences. With a strong venue offering, established client base and continued focus on growth, they are now looking to add a commercially minded Events Sales Executive to support enquiry conversion, client development and revenue generation. This is a sales-focused role, suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, following up enquiries, speaking with clients and turning opportunities into confirmed bookings. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider sales and events team to ensure a smooth customer journey from initial enquiry through to handover and event delivery. The Role As Events Sales Executive, you will be responsible for maximising revenue from incoming enquiries, re-engaging previous clients and supporting proactive sales activity across corporate events, meetings, conferences and learning programmes. You will follow up warm leads, conduct venue tours, build relationships with corporate contacts and agencies, and support campaigns designed to generate new business. The role will also involve maintaining accurate CRM records, tracking enquiry progress and ensuring all client communication is professional, timely and commercially focused. This is not just an administrative events role. The focus is on conversion, relationship-building and supporting the growth of the venue’s corporate events and learning offering. Key Responsibilities • Follow up inbound enquiries and convert suitable opportunities into confirmed bookings. • Re-engage previous clients to generate repeat business. • Conduct venue tours and represent the business professionally to prospective clients. • Build relationships with corporate contacts, event agencies and referral partners. • Support proactive outbound sales activity, campaigns and promotional initiatives. • Identify opportunities to increase revenue across meetings, conferences, residential programmes and corporate events. • Manage enquiry pipelines and track progress through CRM and booking systems. • Provide accurate information, proposals and follow-up communication to clients. • Coordinate booking details from enquiry stage through to handover. • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience. • Maintain accurate records, documentation and sales reporting. • Support the wider sales team with forecasting, pipeline updates and revenue planning. The Person We are looking for a confident, organised and commercially driven individual with experience in events, hospitality, venues, corporate bookings, sales coordination or business development. You will be comfortable speaking with clients, following up opportunities and balancing proactive sales activity with accurate administration. The right person will be personable, professional and motivated by delivering excellent client experiences while helping to grow revenue. Requirements • Experience in sales, events, hospitality, venues, conference sales, business development or a related customer-facing role. • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. • Confident making outbound calls and following up warm enquiries. • Organised, detail-focused and able to manage multiple enquiries at once. • Comfortable using CRM, booking systems or similar platforms. • Able to manage client expectations and provide a professional service. • Commercially minded, proactive and motivated by targets. • Confident conducting client meetings and venue tours. • Full UK driving licence.
