Executive Chef

Two-site hospitality group | High-quality pub food | Strong existing teams We are a successful two-venue hospitality group in Aberdeen, serving high-quality pub food with a focus on consistency, standards, and strong kitchen operations. With strong, well-established kitchen teams at both venues, we are now recruiting an experienced Executive Chef / Group Head Chef to provide leadership and consistency across the group. This role suits a chef who thrives on leadership, training, systems, and operational control — not chasing awards or reinventing menus. The Role As Executive Chef, you will: • Oversee food quality, consistency, and kitchen standards across both venues • Support, coach, and develop the existing kitchen teams • Implement and maintain kitchen systems, spec sheets, prep plans, and training processes • Manage rotas, labour planning, and kitchen staffing • Take ownership of GP, ordering, stock control, and wastage • Ensure both kitchens run smoothly, safely, and efficiently every day • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and performance management within kitchen teams • Work closely with the owners to maintain high standards and support continued growth This is a hands-on leadership role focused on people, structure, and standards — not daily line cooking. • Proven experience as a Head Chef, Senior Sous, Group Head Chef, or Executive Chef • Strong background in pub, casual dining, or high-volume hospitality • Experience managing multiple sites or large kitchen teams • Excellent understanding of GP control, ordering, stock management, and labour planning • A natural trainer who can develop chefs and maintain consistency • Calm, organised, and able to lead teams through busy service • Someone who thrives on structure, standards, and operational control What We Offer • Competitive salary £52k–£58k depending on experience • Performance bonus tied to GP, labour control, and consistency • A stable, growing hospitality group with long-term opportunities • A role where your leadership genuinely makes a difference
