Job description

Fabrication OperativeLocation: Aylesford, Kent Pay: £16.00 - £18.00 per hour (depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Contract: Temporary (3 months initially, with the potential to be extended depending on workload) HR GO Recruitment are currently looking for a Fabrication Operative to join a busy manufacturing company in Gravesend on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic sheet metal fabrication experience who is hands-on, willing to learn and looking to develop new skills. Full training will be provided in laser welding, which will make up the majority of the role. Main Duties • Basic sheet metal fabrication. • Operating a press brake (operation only - no setting required). • Riveting components. • Laser welding (full training provided). • Grinding and sanding finished products. • Using general hand tools, including drills, files and other workshop equipment. • Following engineering drawings and quality standards. • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment. The Ideal Candidate • Previous experience within a fabrication or manufacturing environment. • Basic sheet metal fabrication experience. • Comfortable using hand tools and workshop equipment. • A practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn. • Good attention to detail and a positive attitude. • Reliable with a strong work ethic.
