Farm Shop Sales Assistant

We are seeking a Farm Shop Sales Assistant to join our team working 15 hours per week, your shift pattern will consist of Tuesday 10.00am-14.00pm, Wednesday 08.30am- 15.30pm and Thursday 10.00am- 14.00pm However, flexibility is needed to be able to cover planned and unplanned absences, the successful candidate will need to be flexible and have the ability to cover a range of shifts at short notice. The position requires you to undertake daily operations and work within a small team of retail staff delivering excellent customer service and reporting to the Farm Shop Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have some experience of retail with key responsibilities for the position including: Ensure that the shop is operated in accordance with the Farm Shop objectives and procedures. - Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. - Operate the till and process cash and card payments accurately. - Replenish shelves, date rotate stock and maintain attractive product displays. - Prepare fresh sandwiches, rolls, to order. - Cook and serve jacket potatoes with a range of fillings. - Prepare and cook sausage and bacon baps. - Ensure all food is prepared, presented, and stored in accordance with food hygiene and food safety regulations. - Monitor stock levels, rotate stock, and minimise food waste. - Receive and check deliveries ,temperature checks and store stock correctly.-Preparation of cheese and meats for sale. - Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the shop, and food preparation areas. - Follow all food safety, health and safety, and hygiene procedures. - Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the farm shop. - Carry out opening and closing duties as required. -To carry out any other work or task determined to be within your level of competence to meet the needs of the business.
