Female Support Worker

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Female Support Worker within our Bury Learning Disabilities Services to provide person centered support to people with learning disabilities, physical needs and support needs, living in a supported living setting. You must have a good understanding of learning disabilities and person centered practice, as well as a commitment to developing the service and the staff team. Enable service users to gain independence, confidence and competence in following areas: • Social skills/relationships • Personal care & hygiene • Daily living skills • Managing money • Using community resources and facilities • Social, leisure and work activities • Self-organisation and coping abilities • Personal safety Gender is considered to be an occupational requirement – Equality Act 2010 Vacancy Reference Number: 93342 Applications for this role must be submitted via the Creative Support website using the above vacancy reference number Full training is provided, as is the opportunity to work towards QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
