Fencing Apprentice

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and diligent Fencing Apprentice to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in fencing installation and related trades, providing a valuable foundation for a career in the construction industry. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of experienced tradespeople, gaining practical skills and knowledge across various aspects of fencing and general construction work. This role is ideal for individuals eager to develop their craftsmanship in a supportive environment, with paid training provided. Duties • Assist in the installation of fencing structures, including setting posts, attaching panels, and securing materials • Operate hand tools and power tools safely to carry out tasks efficiently • Support with site preparation, including clearing and levelling ground surfaces • Learn to interpret technical drawings and project specifications • Help with the maintenance and organisation of tools and materials on-site • Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment • Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes • Gain exposure to related trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, fabrication, and construction painting Qualifications • No prior experience necessary; however, familiarity with hand tools or previous work in construction-related fields such as carpentry, roofing, masonry, welding or electrical work is advantageous • Strong willingness to learn new skills and develop craftsmanship in fencing installation and general construction tasks • Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour outdoors in various weather conditions • Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team • Basic organisational skills for maintaining tools and materials on-site • Commitment to health and safety standards at all times This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career within the construction sector while gaining practical experience across multiple trades.
