Field Service Engineer

About The Role The ideal candidate should possess a solid Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical background, and the desire to cross train and apply their skills to the Lift industry. This is a permanent, full time opportunity, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm Your primary duties will include • Undertake routine and periodic maintenance at a variety of client sites • Promptly responding to periodic emergency service calls from clients • Correctly diagnosing any repair requirements and (where possible), conduct on-site repairs • Replace, maintain, and service all necessary equipment, machinery, and systems • Providing technical support and guidance to clients on maintenance and usage of equipment • Document all service and repair activities accurately and maintaining detailed records • Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure seamless service delivery Requirements • Proven experience as a Service Engineer or an Electro/Mechanical Engineer, preferably gained within the lift (or similar) industry, or a similar field • An appropriate Mechanical / Electro-Mechanical qualification (HNC, HND, BTech, NVQ – or equivalent. • EOR202 (Desirable) • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing equipment, machinery, and systems • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues effectively • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed • Full UK driving licence What’s in it for you? • Stability / job security • Company Van to take home, fuel card, mobile phone • A generous basic salary – with additional incentives, additional emergency rota payments, and a generous annual bonus • Overtime and occasional weekend work available – Enhanced rate of pay • PAID On Call Emergency rotations, 5pm-8am Mon-Fri / Sat and Sun all day (currently 1 in 3) • Professional growth opportunities including NVQ3 training (if not already gained) • Progression into other future roles and opportunities • An excellent home/work life balance • The joy of working for a family-run company where your skills, experience, and input are all truly valued If you believe you possess the experience and professional qualities being sought here, please apply or contact Bright Side Recruitment Ltd. for more information.
