What's the role? The Service Engineer will take responsibility for the repair, maintenance, servicing and commissioning of all Electrical equipment supported by the company at the customers global sites. Key Responsibilities: • Provide frontline product support ensuring customer satisfaction • Investigation of customer issues and development of solutions • Carrying out inspection/checks on own work as it proceeds and ensuring that the equipment performs satisfactorily and is safe before handing back to the customer • Produce detailed work packages including risk and method statements for all work • Carry out site surveys on customers equipment for appraisal / reporting for costings purposes • Liaise with the Service Manager whilst working on overseas jobs • Provided technical support for the existing product support engineers • Carry out in line with our specification product servicing / repair and upgrades • Be able to work safely within in a hazardous environment and ensure equipment is left in a safe and working manner • Provide a point of contact for the customer, or their representative • Comply with all Company policies, procedures and work instructions, including health and safety • Comply with and promote the Company’s values and behaviours • Carry out other reasonable duties as requested What we’re looking for: • Demonstrable knowledge of high voltage distribution and supply equipment with a good level of fault finding and repair knowledge • Understanding and experience with electrical capital equipment and design • Qualified to work in an electrical hazardous area and willing to undertake relevant training • Ability to work with high level technical data with a high level of attention to detail • Ability to work under own initiative as well as accurately keeping to defined plans and specifications • Ability to prioritize workload and get it right first time • Ability to work independently with a good customer focus and commercial acum What's in it for you? • Competitive salary • Holiday allowance starting at 26 days per annum plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time roles) • Flexible and Hybrid working options (role dependant) • Life insurance – 4 x annual salary • Enhanced Company Pension scheme • 24/7 free and confidential Employee Assistance Programme • GP24 Service – Access to remote, private GP services 24/7, 365 days a year plus Second Medical Opinions. • BRUSHRewards – Discover plenty of ways to get more active and make great savings on everyday essentials as well as gifts for loved ones, holidays and special treats for yourself. • Family friendly policies including Enhanced Maternity/Paternity • Bike2work scheme • Long Service Awards • Developing our people is important to us - we support and encourage development by offering ongoing professional development and training.
